College description: To be considered for admission, applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. There are no specific prerequiste courses for applicants to the Doctor of Audiology programs.Normal Language Development Normal Language is available from NSU after beginning the program and must be taken before the Pediatric Audiology course.The Au.D. program has the responsibility to assure the public that graduates will be fully competent audiologists providing benefit and doing no harm. Individuals admitted and retained in the Au.D. program must possess the intelligence, integrity, compassion, humanitarian concern, physical and emotional capacity, communication skills and professionalism necessary to practice audiology.This course provides an introduction to clinical research in audiology and the principles of evidence-based practice.This course provides an introduction to professional issues encountered in audiology practice, as well as, aspects of professional development.AUD 6520: Audiology in an Interprofessional Healthcare Model.A holistic approach to geriatric audiology is presented.AUD 7051: Research Methods in Audiology IIThis course provides a detailed study of research design, data collection, analysis, and evaluation.This course provides an exploration of the theoretical basis of counseling methodology and evidence-based approaches to patient and family-centered care in audiology.AUD 7079: Ethics, Coding and Reimbursement for Audiology.This course provides an introduction to theories of bioethics and applications to audiology and clinical practice.This course provides the basic principles involved in the development, operation, and management of audiology practice within the framework of different models of health care delivery.AUD 7194: Audiology Clinical Grand Rounds This course provides an evidence-based approach to critically analyze audiological assessment and management across the audiology scope of practice.AUD 7611: Externship II Full-time placement in an audiology externship position.AUD 7612: Externship III Full-time placement in an audiology externship position.

Doctor of Physical Therapy
Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences will admit one new cohort of DPT students each June. They anticipate a class size of 35 students. Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis.
Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Mary Baldwin University admission requirements are:
1. A bachelor’s degree is required prior to enrollment. Applicant's official transcripts from the degree-granting institution must be sent to Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS).
2. Submit a non-refundable supplemental fee of $45.
3. Students for whom English is not their primary language, regardless of US citizenship, are required to submit their TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score with their application. A minimum score is 570 (paper-based) or 88 (internet-based). A student may be exempted if they have graduated with a bachelors or graduate degree from a 4-year accredited US university.
There is no minimum GRE score needed to apply for Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Mary Baldwin University.
5. A minimum of 3.0 overall GPA required.
6. Two references are required. At least one reference must be from a physical therapist.
7. 40 hours are required in at least two different settings, such as hospital inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics, long-term care, etc.
